Betzalel is a group for professional Jewish artists wanting to work together to support, encourage and develop artistic professionalism and growth. Artwork for this exhibit can be viewed at the Calgary Jewish Community Center lobby. There is security at the desk, but you can gain entrance by providing picture ID and signing the entrance log. We will be having one day during the exhibit where artists will be in attendance and I will post that announcement once we settle on a date. In the meantime, drop by to view the exhibit. JCC hours are on the web site http://www.calgaryjcc.com/hours.html - please note the special hours for the holidays.

A Rabbit North of Carrots Have you ever done something you never thought you would?? Well..I just did! I painted a rabbit. Yep, you heard that right, I was presented with Studio Todorovic's Year of the Rabbit challenge and decided to do it. So this little dude who patiently awaits for his carrots is now adorning the walls of Studio Todorovic along with several other bunny interpretations. You should stop by and check 'em out! You may just want to adopt one...LOL I love knowing where my paintings are going and now it is Chromatone Reef's turn to reach it's new home. Mexico City will be the final destination for this blue window of aquatic serenity and relaxation. Appropriate considering it was the memories of white sandy beaches, beautiful turquoise water and outstanding coral reefs from the Yucatan peninsula that inspired this piece. Looking into the water and looking out from under the water. It is always exciting when paintings find a new home, even more exciting when they go to a magical, mystical, and festive place like New Orleans. Inside Chromatone and Red Notes are on their way to their New Orleans home. Laissez les bons temps rouler!!
I will be participating in the Calyx Distinctive Arts show in Calgary on October 24, 2010. This is their 20th show and I continue to hear good things about the event. I will also take part in the first Calyx show in Edmonton on November 6, 2010. I hope to see you there!
